While touring with some clients today in the Hartland Park townhome community, I was able to get a visual update on the progress of the Norweta Row new construction condominium and apartment development in west Lincoln Park.
Of the 3 buildings in the condo / apartment project, the first looks to have completed most of its masonry (although I did not see any interior finishes from the limited view I had of the construction, so Im not sure how far along they are with those) and the framing for the 2nd building looks to be almost completed. The marketing materials we have received before have said that deliveries will begin Spring 2018.
The first 2 buildings in Norweta Row will include 32 luxury condos with the final building including luxury apartments. Lincoln Park has limited inventory of larger luxury apartment buildings, so those will be a good addition to the rental inventory in the neighborhood.
The 3rd building in Norweta Row also looked to have its foundation work being done – I would think these would be likely ready sometime in 2019 based on the current construction progress.
One of the unique features of this Lincoln Park development is the “resort style” amenities that include: a hammock park in one of two courtyards, a climbing wall, and several grills and fire pits. There is also an outdoor pool and indoor glass solarium, a premium fitness center, high-tech conference rooms and a guest suite. Besides just Lincoln Park, it’s hard to find all of these amenities almost anywhere in Chicago’s residential real estate inventory.
The west Lincoln Park location can also be good for some of our clients who may commute to the North or Northwest Suburbs and need access to the expressway. However, being further west also does put you further from the actual park and lakefront that many residents of Lincoln Park move to the neighborhood for.
